How To Do Fashion
This pattern includes a blouse and skirt pattern, both inspired by the 1960’s silhouette. Both versions are great pieces to create a base in your wardrobe.
The skirt is a slim-fitting pencil skirt that sits at the natural waist. It features gentle gathers in the front and darts in the back for shaping, and has a back kick vent.
The top has a princess seamed front with a yoke, and darts at the back for a close fit. It closes with an invisible zip and features a buttoned tab detail on the front yoke, and subtle curves at the front hemline.
For the summer time, use light materials as silk, cotton and viscose for the top, and the skirt will work well in a cotton twill or a light wool. For the winter, use heavier fabrics. Fabric with a bit of stretch will work well for both. However, neither version is designed for jersey fabrics.
